As soon as I hugged everyone and checked out all of the decorations the boys left (almost in a rush-haha!) and us girls hung out. The place was decorated so beautifully, there were lots of all of my favorite yummy foods/drinks (MOMtinis-hehe), and we played some fun games.
After hanging out for a couple hours the boys came back and Joe and I opened our gifts. We got such wonderful gifts!! Which included: bibs, onesies, blankets, pacifiers, a diaper genie, bottle cleaning tools, spoons, art work for Bristan's nursery, and a Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag (which I had been looking at on Amazon.com and had no idea my friends knew about the name brand/they had no idea I was looking at the diaper bags!) After gift opening, we just hung out with all of our friends till later in the evening. We had such an incredible time. We just cannot say it enough, how truly blessed we are to have such wonderful people in our lives. Because of our Gainesville family, the past three years have been the best! It is going to be difficult to say goodbye to everyone :(
The J is cut out of a California (LA) map and the N is cut out of a Georgia (Perry) map. Kelly made this for us. It's going to look so great in B's nursery!
People put different parts of our faces on the face in the middle to show what B will look like.
We are going to have one good looking kid! Aren't we??!! HAHA!
Baby N
Kelly and I Finished some projects this past week. She helped me with the sewing and I painted the canvases for the nursery. While I am sad to leave Gainesville, I am a little anxious to get this nursery all set up for our baby boy. THANK YOU for all your help Kelly!!!! We have one more pillow to make (striped one for the guest bed to go with the other two). Once all that is done I will just need to get curtains, a rug, lamp, and frame all of the pictures/prints/art that will be hanging in the nursery.
Pillows that will go on the guest bed that will be in the nursery.
Crib blanket. I LOVE it!!
Here are the first two paintings I made for B's room. The canvas on the right is the chorus from mine and Joe's first dance song- "I cross my heart" by George Straight. Yellow is such a happy color! It's my favorite.
Burp clothes and a swaddle blanket made of flannel
Well, only 10 more weeks to go!! We have one more doctor appointment here then we start meeting with our new doctor in Atlanta. At our appointment Wednesday the nurse said my belly was measuring at 31 or 32 weeks. Maybe I'll go a little early! Haha! It could have been the way B was positioned though.
We finally finished registering...Wow! I did not realize how much you need to care for a baby! There are so many choices and it is a bit stressful to figure out what is going to be the best for your baby. The nice thing is, both Target and Amazon allow you to add/delete things online- keeps me from running out every time I change my mind. We did our research though and received some helpful advice from family and friends.
Our "What to Expect" book says that our little guy is around 15 inches long! I definitely feel/see him! I am certain he already has Joe's calves because of some of the kicks he does throughout the day (he is a strong man). I think he is going to be one active child!
