30 Weeks

Last week and weekend were awesome! Saturday, one of my clients that I have been styling for a few years now had her last appointment with me. She gave a $100 tip as a farewell gift to me!! How sweet of her! Saying goodbye to all of my lovely clients is tough. When I was done with work I came home and took a little nap before we went to meet up with Kelly and Chris for a nice dinner down town. Joe and I got all dressed up after my nap then headed over to Kellys'. Little did I know that there was a crowd waiting there for me. I walked in their front door and all of my best buds were standing there and yelled "Surprise!! Happy Baby Shower!". I was so surprised, but confused when I first walked in. My reaction to it all was weird (as usual with me) and it lead people to believe that I was aware of the surprise baby shower. I really had no clue! I act like a weirdo when all the attention is on me unexpectedly. Joe knew the whole time! I thought we were just having a little going away party in a few weeks not a baby shower.

As soon as I hugged everyone and checked out all of the decorations the boys left (almost in a rush-haha!) and us girls hung out. The place was decorated so beautifully, there were lots of all of my favorite yummy foods/drinks (MOMtinis-hehe), and we played some fun games.

After hanging out for a couple hours the boys came back and Joe and I opened our gifts. We got such wonderful gifts!! Which included: bibs, onesies, blankets, pacifiers, a diaper genie, bottle cleaning tools, spoons, art work for Bristan's nursery, and a Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag (which I had been looking at on Amazon.com and had no idea my friends knew about the name brand/they had no idea I was looking at the diaper bags!) After gift opening, we just hung out with all of our friends till later in the evening. We had such an incredible time. We just cannot say it enough, how truly blessed we are to have such wonderful people in our lives. Because of our Gainesville family, the past three years have been the best! It is going to be difficult to say goodbye to everyone :(

The J is cut out of a California (LA) map and the N is cut out of a Georgia (Perry) map. Kelly made this for us. It's going to look so great in B's nursery!

People put different parts of our faces on the face in the middle to show what B will look like.

We are going to have one good looking kid! Aren't we??!! HAHA!

Baby N

Kelly and I Finished some projects this past week. She helped me with the sewing and I painted the canvases for the nursery. While I am sad to leave Gainesville, I am a little anxious to get this nursery all set up for our baby boy. THANK YOU for all your help Kelly!!!! We have one more pillow to make (striped one for the guest bed to go with the other two). Once all that is done I will just need to get curtains, a rug, lamp, and frame all of the pictures/prints/art that will be hanging in the nursery.

Pillows that will go on the guest bed that will be in the nursery.

Crib blanket. I LOVE it!!

Here are the first two paintings I made for B's room. The canvas on the right is the chorus from mine and Joe's first dance song- "I cross my heart" by George Straight. Yellow is such a happy color! It's my favorite.

Burp clothes and a swaddle blanket made of flannel

Well, only 10 more weeks to go!! We have one more doctor appointment here then we start meeting with our new doctor in Atlanta. At our appointment Wednesday the nurse said my belly was measuring at 31 or 32 weeks. Maybe I'll go a little early! Haha! It could have been the way B was positioned though.

We finally finished registering...Wow! I did not realize how much you need to care for a baby! There are so many choices and it is a bit stressful to figure out what is going to be the best for your baby. The nice thing is, both Target and Amazon allow you to add/delete things online- keeps me from running out every time I change my mind. We did our research though and received some helpful advice from family and friends.

We have someone coming to look at our place on Monday (hopefully-she has cancelled on us once already) that may potentially want to sub-lease our apartment. Happy thoughts!!!!!! We really need to get someone in our place so we do not have to pay multiple rents! Wish us luck guys!

Our "What to Expect" book says that our little guy is around 15 inches long! I definitely feel/see him! I am certain he already has Joe's calves because of some of the kicks he does throughout the day (he is a strong man). I think he is going to be one active child!

29 Weeks

We found a place to live!! Unfortunately, it is not a house. The place we found to live in is a town home. We just did not have any luck finding a house that was in our budget and up to our expectations. Joe and I are really excited about the place we found though! The name of the complex is Williamsburg Apartment Homes. The town home is 1150 square feet, 2 big bedrooms (upstairs), 1 1/2 bathrooms, and has a nice size back patio. The property is 37 acres, right across from where Joe will be working, close to tons of shopping, has an Olympic size pool, lots of trails, a gym, a creek running through it (which is actually right behind our unit), and a great dog park (where May can meet lots of new friends!). This will be a nice place for us to start out in a new city. After a year or so we will consider looking at houses to buy. Joe and I will for sure have the lovely real estate agent that showed us houses on Saturday help us find a house to buy.

We had a great time visiting family and friends on our brief trip to Georgia. Now we are counting down the days till our big move. Only one month away!! Since we have tackled the living situation for Atlanta our new concentration is to find someone to sub-lease our apartment down here in Florida for three months. Hope we find someone!! We really do not want to pay two rents for three months!! We are staying positive and feeling confident we will find someone to take over the lease.

This will be a pretty laid back week and weekend for us coming up. Joe and I will have the pleasure of hanging out with our best buds here in Gainesville. I am hoping to accomplish some sewing projects. Will post pictures of what I get done next week!

Baby boy will double in weight in the next few weeks! Ahhh! Getting big!

27-28 Weeks

We had such a great time down in Fort Lauderdale! It was especially awesome to be able to spend time with some of our west coast family. The weather was great (except for an afternoon monsoon on Saturday that was interesting to watch. Pool chairs were flying into the pool! I think Aunt Cindy had never seen rain like that before-haha!). We got to spend Saturday and early Sunday with everyone. It was so nice catching up! Now they are all out cruising the Caribbean celebrating Aunt Cindy's birthday (jealous!!). I know they are having a blast! We miss them all already.

Dinner with Maricar. Thanks again for welcoming us at your place Maricar!

The family before they all set sail. Open your eyes Joe! Look at the camera Russ! Haha

One bare belly pic. My belly button is almost gone! What a fun day at the beach!

This is what May did at the beach-just dug a hole and laid in it. She does NOT like the water!

Baby Bristan is taking up more and more space in my belly. I look down at my stomach sometimes and it is all contorted because of his position or movement. His favorite spot is wedged into my right side. I LOVE, LOVE feeling him move and it seems like it is all the time! Braxton hicks have started to occur on occasions. They feel kinda weird, but aren't too uncomfortable. The human body is incredibly amazing...my belly is practicing labor contractions..crazy!! I am still feeling great and staying active. Optimistic that will continue :)

This weekend we are going up to Georgia. After a lot of hard work, rude real estate agents, and dead ends we finally found a really sweet lady named Corliss to help us with our house search in Atlanta. She has been great! Saturday she will be showing us houses that we have picked out through an online resource she sent us. I think mom and Autumn are coming as well. We CANNOT leave Atlanta without knowing where we are going to live. So wish us luck!!!
We are looking forward to finding a place to live and hanging out with family for Easter Sunday too.

Now begins....my 3rd trimester! Only 12 weeks to go!
