19 Months

Hello friends and family!!! Hope everyone's holiday season went well! We have been busy, busy since the last time I put a blog post up. Seven months!

Let's see... where to begin? I'll try to keep it brief. Travel: We went to Savannah, GA for a beach vacation with the Ennis family, Joe went hunting in Colorado for a week (while I went to Charlotte, NC and Perry, GA to visit friends and family), we went to New Orleans for a conference/vacation, B went to Tennessee with Grandma, we went to Los Angeles to visit family and then we went to San Francisco for my Surface Educator training (B, Cindy, Ron, and me. Joe came back to Georgia for work). All trips were super fun!!!!!!

Our home: We (and by "we" I mean mostly Joe) have painted some more rooms, added more insulation, finished building furniture, finished furniture restorations, built storage shelves in the garage, ripped out the carpet in the entertainment room, stained the concrete in the bar room, ripped out the wood paneling and started putting dry wall up to replace it.
We had a house warming party in October that was super fun! Lot's of friends and family came. In addition to that party, we have hosted several other events at our house. It is so nice that now we are able to do that. We love having people over! Just recently we had a going away party for the leader of one of the play groups that B and I are in. There were almost 30 moms and each mom had 1 or 2 children. Talk about a full house!! We had a blast! Once it warms up a bit we will more than likely have a BBQ.

B: I'll say it over and over again, he is getting more and more fun as he get's older! He is such a good kid. Although he is starting to test us a bit more, for the most part he is well behaved. He is such a boy. He loves all types of cars, airplanes, trash trucks, fire trucks, etc.. I can't even keep up with all the words he says now. He will attempt to say almost any word he hears (we gotta be careful!) and he will say full on sentences too. B really loves to read books. He definitely has favorites. Some nights before bed he will ask us to read up to 8 books. He is also telling us when he goes "pee pee" and "poo poo" in his diaper. We bought him a potty, but every time I try to get him to sit on it he cries. We'll try harder when he seems more ready I guess. B started in a mom's morning out program at a church close to where Joe and I work so he is in "school" on Fridays from 9:15 till 1:15. His first day was last Friday and he did great!! All of the teachers were impressed with how well he did. He had art class, music class, playtime outside and made lot's of new friends. I will now get to work full days on Fridays.

Upcoming: We are planning to go on a ski trip in North Carolina in the beginning of March with our friends Chenoa and Tim. B will go down and stay with Grandma Barbara while we are gone. We are going to try to go to Calgary, Canada to visit our friends Chris, Kelly and their baby girl before summer. Then, a bunch of our California family is going to be road tripping out our way to visit this summer!! Yay!!

For Valentines day we are planning on just staying at home and making sushi after B goes to bed. Our real valentines date will be the following weekend. Joe and I are going to see the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. We will be getting a sitter, going to a nice dinner, then going to the symphony. I am super excited! Hope everyone has a lovely Valentines Day. I will try to do another blog post in a few months.

We sure do miss y'all!!!!
