B is ONE!!!!!

Well, we have a one year old! My goodness! It seems like just yesterday I was starting this blog when I was only 16 weeks pregnant. Now we have our handsome, chatty, funny, and smart one year old little B. He is so much fun!!! It seems like once he turned one and started walking, he started saying all kinds of words. He says, more (and does the sign for it), all done (signs that too), milk, May, Mama, Daddy, night night, Ellie (his elephant blanket he sleeps with), banana ("na nana"), water ("wa wa"), apple, outside ("a-sye"), grandma ("mam-maw"), eyes, ears, hello, hey, Autumn ("autie"),  bye bye, and he'll attempt to say almost anything we ask him to say. He is eating everything and we are now putting his food on a plate and giving him silverware. We actually haven't found much he doesn't eat. One day he ate almost 3 bananas. He must take after his daddy!

B's birthday party turned out great! We had so much fun. He had all of his best buds there and got some really nice gifts. As soon as his party was over we went into super pack mode and loaded all of things into some PODs, closed on our house and then flew to California. We were in California for 10 days. It was a much needed vacation for us. We had sooo much fun with family and friends! B got to celebrate his birthday with all of his west coast family.

When we got back from California we moved into our home. Yes, OUR home.... ahhh!!! It feels so good to say that finally! We have spent the last month settling into our place. So far, we have painted the outside of the house, painted several rooms inside, bought furniture to fill it, and started building some furniture. Joe is building me a farmhouse table for the dinning room. It's going to look awesome!! I love that Joe is so handy! He is really loving having a work shop. We have all kinds of projects planned for the house to work on while we live here. We are having so much fun so far and are falling more and more in love with our house everyday!

Travel coming up: This weekend we are going to Gainesville, Fl to go to B's girlfriend's (Zoe's) first birthday party and to visit our friends there. The following weekend, B is going to stay with grandma while Joe and I have a weekend to ourselves. Then, we plan head down to Tybee Island later in the month with our friends Ryan (who is coming out from California), John, Anna, and their kids. We are really looking forward to visiting Tybee! It will be our first time back since we got married there!

Now that B is mobile and sleeps less he is definitely keeping me super busy. I am also working a bit more with my jobs. So, I will probably only do the blog a couple of times a year or so. I have thoroughly enjoyed doing the blog throughout pregnancy and B's first year. Every now and then I like to look back through it. It's so crazy how different our life is in less than two years. We have such an amazing life and it just keeps getting better. Big THANKS to all of our family and friends that have been such great support in our journey so far. We love y'all! xo

Birthday Boy!

We had the map that was hanging in his bedroom on display with pins in all of the places B has been.

Home sweet home
Before and after paint

Painted our guest bed turquoise
This is the farmhouse table Joe made for me. Just have to make 2 benches for it and find 2 chairs to go at the ends. I will probably paint the chairs I find a fun bright color.
This used to be in our old kitchen. It's from Ikea. We painted it and are putting it in the dinning room with the table Joe made for me.

I plan to paint these crates white, hang them above the Ikea table and put a wine rack/wine glasses/photos in them.
Guest bathroom. I am planning on painting the wall above the chair rail royal blue, which will bring out the blue in the tile that's in the shower.

This is just a temporary set up. It will be the dinning room once the table is done. We want to find a nice rug to go under the table. We also want to put hard wood floors in all of the lower level of the house within the next year or so.
Future dinning room
Our bedroom. You can't tell from the picture, but we actually have a pretty nice size walk-in closet. We are going to put a TV on our dresser once we move the TV out of what's going to be the dinning room.

Our bathroom

B's room

This is the "man cave". We plan to get rid of the wood paneling and put dry wall in. The floors will be hardwood and the bar will be painted/updated (and possibly moved to a different corner).

This is our living room/B's play area
Right now B's play kitchen is covering all of our TV cords, receivers, and such. We are looking for a cabinet to put beside the fire place to hold all of that.

At a friends birthday party
My poor baby fell and hit his head on the crib :( and on top of that he had a black eye from hitting his face on a shelve the day before.
It looked so bad! I think I cried more than he did.
Silly boy!
Happy Birthday Autumn!

He loves his new play space.
B was really helpful in helping me unpack...
Super helpful...
When I am hanging out in the kitchen B goes in and out like May does. Play on the deck, play in the kitchen, back and forth back and forth. The deck has gates and I have plenty of windows to see him so I just let him play.
Such a happy boy!!
