6-7 Months

]

Well it has been a while since I have caught up with you guys!! Sorry! The holidays were so busy and then when we got back we had to travel again. Last weekend and this weekend we do not have much going on and we are really happy about that!

So, our holiday travel started with visiting with my family for Christmas. B loved opening all of his presents and loved what he got. He actually tried to eat the wrapping paper! After visiting with everyone we came back to Atlanta and flew out to California. California was great! We were constantly  going, but we loved every minute of it. B got to go see the Hollywood sign, see the ocean for the first time at Ventura Beach, ate at Rosco's Chicken and Waffles (well, B hung out while we ate), visited Bakersfield, hiked where the celebrities live, and much much more! B got to meet a few family members and friends for the first time. He smiled so much at everyone! For New Years Eve we celebrated at Papa Ron and Nana Cindy's house in Bakerfield, Ca. Lots of our family was there and we had a blast!! They had a photo booth and everything. I am pretty sure we slept somewhere different every night while were on vacation, which we thought would be tough on B, but he was such a good sport the whole time. It wasn't until the end of the trip (in Vegas) that it started to wear on him and we started to feel bad. Oh yeah, Vegas.....

From Los Angles we drove out to Las Vegas. Jessika, J.R. (Joe's sisters), Roman, Jake (their husbands), Papa Russ, Roseann and Allen (friends) all came out to hang out in Vegas. We stayed at the MGM Grand. The first night we stayed out till about 1 a.m. We had so much fun! After putting B to bed and having dinner we went to one of the bars/club in MGM (Thanks again for watching B Papa Russ!!!!). Joe and I danced so hard! HAHA! The next day we went out to Hoover Dam and B got to visit Arizona.
Side note: After our Holiday travel B has now been in these states/towns- Georgia, Florida (Gainesville, and Orlando), North Carolina (Charlotte), Nevada (Gardenerville and Las Vegas), California (Lake Tahoe, Los Angeles, Ventura Beach and Bakersfield), and Arizona. Jet setting kid!!
After our Hoover Dam visit B and I headed back to Vegas to meet up with Jessika and J.R. Yes, I drove from Hoover Dam to Vegas. Crazy! I missed a turn and ended up driving all over the strip. It was  cool to check out all of the hotels and B got in a pretty good nap. That night we planned to have a big night, but that did't really happen. While we did have an amazing dinner, I was getting incredibly tired. This was around 11 p.m. (I probably should have napped that day at some point!). As we were leaving the restaurant we got a call from Papa Russ that B was freaking out and would not take his bottle. Russ probably wouldn't have called us and handled the situation, but a neighbor in the hotel called the front desk complaining about a baby crying. The front desk person called Russ and asked if they could help with anything. HAHAHA!! What if he would have said "yes"??? What would they have done???? We think that the person that complained probably thought someone abandoned a baby. I mean it is Vegas! I'm sure people have put their baby to bed, took the monitor and went down stairs to gamble! Anyways, we went up stairs to calm that baby down. When we got to the room, we fed him and got him calmed down aaaaand I fell asleep in the process. So much for my big night out till the wee hours in Vegas!!! That's okay though, I did do Vegas with a baby and I had an amazing time!! The next day we went lunch with everyone and then visited the Pawn Stars pawn shop. It was pretty cool! After that all of the Californians headed home and Joe, B and I walked the strip until our red eye flight that evening.

When we got back from out West poor B and Joe had a cold. So B had a cold, jet lag, and he was teething. Talk about a fussy baby. Poor guy!! That week was rough and once B was starting to get back to normal we hit the road to head down to Orlando, Florida so I could do my educator training with Surface. We stopped in Gainesville on the way to stay and visit with friends. It was a fun trip, but we were pretty tired of traveling. B decided to stop taking the bottle on this trip which made things a bit more difficult. We have since figured out how to get him to take the bottle again (kind of), but it took almost 3 weeks! He would go hours without drinking milk when I went to work!

It has been so nice to be at home in our lovely routine and hanging with our Atlanta friends. B is officially crawling and pulling up sometimes. Ahhhh! I am not sure if I am ready for this kid to be mobile!! We recently got cloth diapers to try out. Next blog I'll let you guys know how that works out for us. So far it is going well, but I have not had to change a poop diaper yet. HAHA! At B's 6 months appointment he weighed 20 pounds and is 27 inches long. 90th percentile across the boards! Big boy!

Next on our agenda: Super Bowl weekend we will be traveling to Charlotte to visit with our friends John, Anna and their two little ones Grady and Hayes. Later in the month of February I will probably take a trip down to my home town to visit with friends and family.

I can't believe our baby is 7 months old now!!!! I know it is early, but I started planning his 1st birthday party over a month ago via Pinterest. I haven't locked in to any set theme yet, but Joe and I were thinking maybe a travel themed party. What do you guys think?? Opinions are welcomed!! Summer will be here before we know it and with the cold weather we have had lately I sure am looking forward to the warm weather! Oh and one last thing, since B is so smiley and handsome I am planning to send some photos of him into a child modeling agency. Maybe they will think he has "the look" and book him!! Then we can could start contributing more to his college fund! Wish us luck!!

My love
B decided to start crawling for the first time while we were visiting Stone Mountain. ON TOP of the mountain. I guess he could get good traction there.
Beautiful day and great hike!

This is how B was chillin when we came from church to pick him up from the nursery. Apparently he had a a big melt down (notice: his shoes are off, one sock is missing and he has on a bib because of spitting up). Our church has an evening service (6) so it is tough for B to stay awake since he goes to bed at 7. Poor guy!

Cloth diapers!
Look at those teeth!

Who is that?!
Wow! Where has the time gone?
